Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane has finalized his squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) 2027 qualifiers. The 30-man team will face Guinea and Eritrea in the opening matches of the campaign. The squad was announced ahead of the September and October 2026 fixtures, with five players excluded from the preliminary list.
Among those left out are Tshepang Moremi, Cemran Dansin, Lyle Foster, Ronaldo van Neel, and Tshepo Mashiloane. The final selection includes several new faces, such as Lebone Seema, Lebohang Maboe, Shandre Campbell, Luther Singh, Brooklyn Poggenpoel, and Yanel. The squad reflects a mix of experienced players and emerging talents.
SAFA President Danny Jordaan has outlined the federation’s expectations for Mosimane’s tenure, emphasizing the importance of the qualifiers as a key step toward the 2027 tournament. The matches against Guinea and Eritrea will serve as a test for the team’s readiness.
